ACTES was founded by DI Dr. techn. Michael Schussek, who, in 1986, was certified by the Viennese Economic Chamber to carry out planning and consulting activities on a commercial basis.

Since 1988, DI Dr. techn. Michael Schussek has been entitled by the Ministry of Economics to provide engineering services as an independent chartered engineer, according to strict rules of professional conduct.
As a fully-trained safety engineer, DI Dr. techn. Michael Schussek is also qualified to integrate the aspects of occupational health and safety into the projects.

In 2006, ACTES CONSULTANTS TECHNOLOGY & ENGINEERING SERVICES GMBH was founded upon more than 25 years of experience in international consulting activities, including the planning, execution, and control of projects in all related fields.
